I am a drummer, recording artist, and educator with a Master of Music in Jazz and Improvised Music from the University of Washington, where I served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant directing student jazz ensembles and teaching Jazz History courses. My work as a performer and session musician includes ongoing recording and collaborative projects that directly inform my approach to music education.

I am the live drummer and touring member for crushed (Ghostly International), with recording credits on the group’s debut full-length album No Scope. I’m in an electro-acoustic duo with composer and sound artist Breana Tavaglione focussing on interdisciplinary performance that integrates percussion, extended techniques, and electronic processing. I also serve as a studio drummer and collaborator for guitarist and kora player Mitch Thomas, whose upcoming album blends West African kora with singer-songwriter, jazz, and rock influences.
